IV Hydration / Vitamin injections
Luz family Medical Practice and Wellness Center is now providing vitamin IV therapy and Supplemental injections is available by appointment. These services can typically take 60 minutes to 70 minutes. This is a fee for service appointment as insurance companies will not cover vitamin infusions.
The purpose of IV Vitamin Supplemental and micronutrients to improve the body’s state of wellness. When vitamins and nutrients are given orally they are ingested then broken down by the gastrointestinal enzymes and then absorbed into the bloodstream. This can limit how fast these substances are absorbed and decrease how much of them is actually absorbed. With Iv therapy, the minerals and vitamins are administered into the veins. The body can absorb this fast and you received the full benefit of the vitamin.
